At Nana and Grandpa's House

Last weekend we went down to Nana and Grandpa and Nugget's house. There's a lot to do and discover there. Mama sorted through boxes and made a big mess, and I loved cleaning it up with this perfect Noah-sized vaccuum cleaner.

I also had a great time swimming in my inflatable ring. I stood on the stairs in my ring and asked Mama to help me into the water, but as soon as I was in, I wanted no more help from anyone.

Camping at Wright's Lake

Here we are at Wright's Lake in the Sierras.

We did a little canoeing.

Some marshmallow roasting,

And a hike up to a beautiful alpine lake.

Dorky hats, beautiful lake!

This is what happens when you ask me to look at the camera and smile and I oblige. It is a rare event (I usually have something better to do).

Bike repair

Angelica

Our neighbors Claire and Isaac have a guinea pig named Angelica. At first I wasn't so sure about her and she wasn't so sure about me either, but with the help of a towel and a little celery, we became good friends ("poo poo comes out here").

Good Times in and Around Ortenberg, Germany Addendum

Oops, Mama and Papa found a few more photos from our Germany trip. Since this was one of the highlights, they figured we'd better put it in.
Here we are walking through the Ortenberger vineyards on our way to the Schlossfest -- a big music festival that the Ortenberger Musikverein (music club) puts on each year. My Papa learned to play the saxophone in the Musikverein, and he used to help out at this festival and play at festivals in other towns when he was growing up.

Here's the castle where the festival takes place.

And here we are enjoying the Gemuetlichkeit (untranslateable).

Prost! No beer for me yet, but at least Apfelsaftschorle is the same color.

Here I am chillin' on Opa's shoulders. Until I'm a little older, this is the best way for me to be taller than Mama.
