Here I am trying out the goggles Papa got me for swim lessons. Papa filled the sink to make sure they fit right, and then I spent half an hour blowing bubbles and looking at my rubber duck underwater. This is a bigger deal than you might think, since I wasn't all that excited about the idea of putting my face in the water prior to this.

Here I am at swimming lessons. We are all growing like trees, and then the teacher will ask us what kind of tree we are and chop us down (at which point we are supposed to jump into the water). I am a Spiderman tree.

Seattle Trip

We drove out to Seattle for the 4th of July weekend. It was a lot of fun, but we will fly next time. We split the drive there into 2 days, but did the drive back all at once -- too long!
Here I am at the Ballard Locks watching the salmon swim up the fish ladder. I also enjoyed watching the boats go up the locks from Puget Sound to Lake Union.

The 4th of July itself was a bit rainy, but my cousin Lukas and I had a good time anyway. Here we are dismantling the croquet court.

And here's our version of tennis/raquetball


We stopped by Snoqualmie Falls on the way home. Mama chose the photo that doesn't show her big belly.



We also did a little hike near Snoqualmie Pass to stretch our legs.
