Boiling Springs Cabin

Our neighbors rented Boiling Springs Cabin (an nicely-restored Forest Service guard station?) and invited us to join them.  The cabin is right next to some sweet hot springs and a medium hike from an even sweeter one.

Here are the hot springs next to the cabin.

And here we are on the way to the other one.

Here's the really sweet hot spring you can hike to.  Pictures of people in the pool do not include swim wear and are therefore not appropriate to post on this blog.

Halloween

Noah was a bald eagle (yes, we bought the costume -- and it was worth it).  Anna was a little trickier.  Initially she thought she might like to be a cowboy.  But then she thought she might rather be a princess.  She went back and forth for awhile and then settled on a cowboy princess.  Trouble was, she didn't like how the cowboy hat felt -- she preferred her green sun hat.  The holster (with bananas instead of guns) was also uncomfortable.  And her fireman rain boots suited her much better than the cowboy boots.  So in the end, she was sort of a princess fireman sunbather.  And that was fine.

Turning Three

We celebrated Anna's 3rd birthday at the park with friends and neighbors, costumes (optional), and green tomato cake.

Time to work on showing three fingers -- two was easier, but we'll get the hang of it.
