Hiking
Last Saturday we took a hike along the Crooked River Trail north of Idaho City, in what used to be gold country but is now the middle of nowhere. Interestingly, we saw some recent mining claims posted.
We did some of Mama and Papa's plans (hiking on the trail) and some of my plans (climbing up rocks, balancing on and jumping off logs, picking up leaves, rocks, berries, etc.)
Reptile party
Last Saturday I got to go to my friend Alexa's birthday party. She also invited a bunch of reptiles and other creatures that we got to see and hold. Here I am getting to know one of the lizards.
The star of the show was this 13-foot-long albino (bright yellow) Burmese python named Sunny. She came to Reptile Rescue when she got bigger than expected (her owners were told she would stay small so long as she was kept in a small enclosure, but this turned out not to be true).
Making Stuff
This is a train station that I made all by myself
Here I am hammering nails into wood. Papa showed me how, and then I did a whole bunch all by myself. We made the shirt I'm wearing too!

Soccer
15 kids, 15 balls, 15 parents (plus some extra ones watching), and 2 coaches. It's a little chaotic, but it's so much fun we barely even notice that we are getting better at ball handling. They could have given us bigger shirts, though....
