Smiles
Turning 5
N: My birthday party was a lot of fun!
N: The cake was shaped like a train. Mama googled "train cake", found a Betty Crocker video, and went from there.
N: The big highlight was the treasure hunt. We followed clues through the park, into the alley, to the treehouse, and over to another park. Here we are digging to find the treasure chest.
Swinging
N: I love to swing and can go for 45 minutes straight -- I just need a couple of pushes to get started.
A: This was my first time in a swing. I tried to keep an open mind about the whole thing, but, between you and me, I'm really not sure what all the fuss is about.
Isaiah
N: Cousin Isaiah and Aunt Andrea spent part of their spring break with us, and we loved having them. Andrea gets all the photo credits for this post....thanks!
N: Toot toot!
N: I showed Isaiah how I can sound out simple words.
N: Isaiah's got the hang of the running bike, so we made it all the way to the river and back!
Food!
A: I'd been feeling left out at dinner time. I wanted to do what everyone else was doing at the table, so now I get to sit in a chair and try "solid" food (a funny thing to call this mush) each evening. Here I am enjoying carrots. So far pears are my favorite and applesauce isn't far behind. Hold the peas, thanks.
A: When any particular food takes more than a day to show up at the other end, I get to try prunes!
