Adventures with Noah and Anna

Mama made a Hefezopf.  Marco, if you're out there, thanks for the recipe!  It was delicious, though not nearly as beautiful as the one you made.  Still, we did get to eat the whole thing -- no Hefezopf-snatching dogs around this time.  Mama put the dough together the day before Easter, but she messed up the yeast part at the beginning, and the dough didn't rise.  Just before going to bed that night, she added some emergency yeast that had been activated in warm sugar water, along with a little extra flour.  On Easter morning, she ran to the oven, opened the door and said, "it has risen!"
